UK Minister for Africa visits NMSI-built Hospital at Mazabuka, Zambia

Yesterday we were delighted to accompany Lord Collins of Highbury, UK Minister for Africa, on a visit to an NMSI-built hospital in Zambia. Kaonga Mini-Hospital is located in Mazabuka District, Southern Province. The visit was attended by the British High Commissioner to Zambia, Her Excellency Rebecca Terzeon and the Deputy High Commissioner, Sam Waldock, as well as the Hon. Elijah J. Muchima, Minister of Health for Zambia, the Permanent Secretary for Technical Services, Dr. Kennedy Lishimpi and HE Macenje Mazoka, Zambian High Commissioner in London. NMS Infrastructure was commissioned by the Zambian Government to build 115 20-bed mini hospitals which have brought much needed primary healthcare facilities to rural areas of Zambia. This visit cemented the relationship between the UK and Zambia in working together to improve universal healthcare across the country.
